Deputy Prime Minister Richard Marles says there’s a main worldwide effort engaged within the search and rescue mission of the crew on board the ADF helicopter which went down off Hamilton Island on Friday.
“Wreckage of the helicopter has been found but the main body of the airframe is yet to be located,” Mr Marles stated throughout a media convention on Sunday.
