WA surfer recovering at home after shark attack
A distinguished surfer is recovering at dwelling after a shark assault in Western Australia‘s mid-west.

Max Marsden was browsing with a pal at Lucy’s Beach, about 20 kilometres south of Geraldton, when he was bitten on his proper arm this morning.

The surfer arrived on the hospital “in good spirits” earlier than he was despatched dwelling.

It is believed a 1.5 metre bronze whaler was behind the assault, which compelled the closure of the seashore for the remainder of the day.

Geraldton Mayor Shane Van Styn praised Marsden’s pal who got here to his support.

“He was duly stabilised by his friend immediately on the shore, which is just fantastic to hear,” Van Styn mentioned.

“First aid is a critical skill everyone should learn, particularly when you’re going surfing in remote places.”

It is unknown at this stage if Lucy’s Beach will re-open tomorrow.
