UK Police Minister calls for a zero-tolerance approach to shoplifting

Writer and broadcaster Esther Krakue says UK police have argued that folks caught on CCTV footage shoplifting will likely be handed a nice.

“But that’s a very soft touch approach,” she informed Sky News host Andrew Bolt.

“The reality is it’s very nice to tell the police to do their job – which they should – but you should be funding them; there’s really no excuse.”

This comes as a shoplifting “craze” has hit Britain, which led to the UK Police Minister calling for a zero-tolerance strategy and having to inform officers to cease treating thefts of underneath £200 as not value their time however examine any report that features CCTV.
