U.S. jury sides with Ed Sheeran in copyright trial

A New York jury on Thursday (May 4) determined that songwriter Ed Sheeran’s 2014 hit “Thinking Out Loud” didn’t unlawfully copy from Marvin Gaye’s basic 1973 tune “Let’s Get It On,” in a carefully watched copyright lawsuit.
