Doherty stated Saliba, a beloved husband, grandfather and father, was “brutally” and “horrifically” attacked.

“We have pieced together what police will allege is a strong circumstantial case against these two men and this is the first step of a long judicial process,” he stated.

Doherty alleged the lads acted in a “joint criminal enterprise”.

“Police allege a blunt instrument was used to cause serious head injuries to both husband and wife,” he stated.

Doherty stated the $1 million reward introduced in December 2021 for data had helped result in the arrests.

He stated detectives had been meticulous with their investigation over the previous couple of years and had been offering help to the household.
