A lady has died after being pulled from a resort pool in Townsville on Saturday.
The 61-year-old was discovered unconscious within the pool at Ville Resort-Casino at 10:20am that morning.
Onlookers offered CPR till emergency companies arrived, with paramedics speeding her to hospital.
She was taken to Townsville University Hospital in a important situation that morning, nevertheless handed away on Monday evening.
The incident was described as a tragedy by Detective Acting Inspector Chris Hicks.
“We extend our deepest sympathies to the family in this matter,” he informed the ABC.
Police confirmed Townsville Forensic Crash Unit and Workplace Health and security are investigating.
The investigation remains to be ongoing and a report is being ready for the coroner.
The Ville Resort-Casino stated that it could help police with their investigation.
“The Ville is working with all authorities investigating the incident and is supporting the guest‘s family through this difficult time,” they stated.
“Our thoughts are with the guest and their family.”
