Farmers from Belgium’s northern area of Flanders drove hundreds of tractors into Brussels on Friday (March 3) in a protest towards a brand new regional authorities plan to restrict nitrogen emissions. Agricultural organisations mentioned in a joint assertion that the nitrogen settlement because it now stands “will cause a socio-economic carnage”. They wished the settlement to raised mirror future prospects for the farm sector.
