The more ‘eyes’ on water the more sharks will be seen

Marine Biologist Larry Chlebeck says the extra “eyes” there are on the water the extra sharks might be seen in Australian waters.

“The more eyes there are on the water, and there’s a lot more now these days, the more sharks you’re gonna see,” Mr Chlebeck advised Sky News Australia.

“It’s usually the larger species that are easier to spot using the drones.

“The NSW state government have recently, as of last year, committed $85 million to the shark management strategy, that includes a lot more drones in the sky, you’re gonna see some of those larger animals then.”
