Sydney climate activists march in protest of Narrabri Gas Project

Sydney has been dropped at a standstill by hundreds of local weather protesters marching their strategy to NSW Parliament.

The CBD’s Macquarie Street was utterly blocked off by as much as 3000 activists on Thursday in an authorised protest in opposition to the Narrabri Gas Project.

Protesters had been calling on the state authorities to place an finish to the Santos Coal Seam Gas plans for northwest NSW, which they consider can have a detrimental influence on the Pilliga Forest and groundwater.

The group made its method by the town after assembly at Customs House in Circular Quay at 11.30am.
