Strong winds force closure of runways at Sydney Airport amid busy weekend
Strong winds have pressured the closure of some runways at Sydney Airport, inflicting flight delays throughout one of many busiest weekends of the 12 months.

The two north-south runways usually are not in operation as a result of climate which means all departures and arrivals are working on the only east-west runway.

The delays are at present between one hour and 90 minutes, Sydney Airport confirmed to 9News.com.au.
