President Ferdinand ”Bongbong” Marcos Jr. has designated Major General Steve Crespillo because the seventeenth commander of the Western Mindanao Command (Westmincom), the Department of National Defense (DND) introduced on Saturday.
Prior to his appointment, Crespillo served as vice commander of the Philippine Army, commander of the 501st Infantry Brigade, and chief of the Westmincom’s Unified Command Staff, overseeing operations within the Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, and the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.
He was additionally designated as chief of employees and assistant division commander for reservist and retiree affairs of the sixth Infantry Division and appearing commander of the 601st Infantry Brigade.
Crespillo is a member of the Philippine Military Academy’s Bigkis Lahi Class of 1990.— VBL, GMA Integrated News
