Despite COVID having a direct affect on college attendance dropping, the various states’ lockdown measures had no impact on the low charges, based on The Australian’s Education Editor Natasha Bita.
“It seems to be a problem everywhere,” she instructed Sky News Australia.
“Queensland, which had very few lockdowns, has the same attendance as Victoria, where kids were out of school for almost two years on and off.
“The issue, I think, is that schools are really struggling to deal with this, and it’s an issue where we just can’t afford to have a ‘sink or swim’ attitude to education.”
