Snow started falling over elements of western Montana on Tuesday morning, February 14, with the National Weather Service forecasting as much as 6 inches of contemporary snow by way of the day and wind gusts of as much as 45 mph close to the Idaho border. This footage was posted on Twitter by Missoula resident and meteorologist Lewis Dortch simply after 10.30 am. Dortch stated two inches of snow had already accumulate outdoors his house.
