Queensland Police Association President Ian Leavers says the loss of life of military veteran Steven Angus “should have been preventable”.
Mr Leavers’ feedback come after Steven Angus was shot lifeless by police someday after being discharged from hospital with out remedy regardless of an association for him to be taken to a personal psychological well being facility to get assist.
“This should have been preventable; it should not have happened, Mr Leavers told Sky News host Erin Molan.
Mr Leavers said police did their best to take him to a place of safety, and yet “the system failed again”.
“Nothing ever seems to amaze me – the failings of Queensland health,” he stated.
“He still should be alive today receiving treatment.”
