Senior WA cop charged with sex offences relating to 13-year-old girl

A senior constable with WA Police has fronted court docket after being charged with baby intercourse offences regarding a 13-year-old lady.

Jason Alan Taylor, who works in regional WA, has been stood down whereas an investigation continues into the alleged assault.

The 48-year-old has been charged with 17 offences that relate to allegations between 2009 and 2012.

The man, who was recognised with a Gold Star on the Royal Life Saving Bravery Awards simply two years in the past, is accused of pursuing a sexual relationship with a lady in 2009 when she was 13 years previous.

This allegedly continued till 2012.

Inspector Geoff DeSanges mentioned the previous officer was stood down in May.

“He was stood down at the time of police receiving the complaint whilst the matter was being investigated,” he informed media at this time.

“This is a concern to WA police however this matter is before the courts and the guilt or innocence of this individual will be determined by the courts.”

Taylor is going through seven counts of indecently coping with a baby between 13 and 16 years previous, six counts of penetrating a baby, three counts of sexually penetrating a baby beneath their authority and a depend of persistent sexual conduct.

He’ll face court docket once more in September.
