Vice President Sara Duterte urged native chief executives to avoid the appointment means of public faculties academics of their respective municipalities and respect the rating system of educators.
Duterte, who concurrently sits as Department of Education Secretary, issued the attraction as she acknowledged the position of the city mayors in shaping an “inclusive and resilient growth” throughout the 2023 League of Municipalities of the Philippines General Assembly.

“Kapag hindi natin sinusunod ang ranking ng ating mga teachers dahil po merong pinipili ang ating mga politicians at pine-pursue natin sa loob ng Department of Education, hindi po natin talaga mababago ang kalidad ng edukasyon ng ating bayan,” she mentioned.
“Kaya po kami ay nakikiusap na sundin po natin ang ranking sa ating pagpili sa mga teachers at hindi po dapat nating pinipilit kung sino yung kakilala, kaibigan, kamag-anak natin sa pagpapasok o hiring ng ating mga teachers sa Department of Education,” she added.
The vice chairman mentioned the administration has dedicated to extend investments in training within the subsequent six years. She enjoined mayors to convene their respective native college boards to judge the wants of native faculties.
Duterte additionally requested the native executives to help faculties in “geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas” and decide how the particular training fund may also help increase the wants of the educations establishments.
