Former Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office board member Sandra Cam on Tuesday was launched from the Philippine National Police (PNP) Custodial Center, in response to PNP PIO chief Police Colonel Red Maranan.

Cam was launched a day after the Manila Regional Trial Court Branch 42 acquitted her and her son, Marco Martin Cam, and 5 others of homicide over the killing of a vice mayor in Masbate in 2019.

Cam and the others have been launched after the prosecution did not show their guilt past cheap doubt.

The case stemmed from the assault that killed vice mayor Charlie Yuson III and wounded his companion Alberto Alforte IV whereas they have been having breakfast in Sampaloc, Manila on October 9, 2019. — Joahna Lei Casilao/RSJ, GMA Integrated News
