‘Sad state of affairs’: ‘No improvement’ in Harry’s ‘strained’ relationship with family

Relations between Prince Harry and the Royal Family had been strained on the time of the Queen’s demise one 12 months in the past and positively haven’t “gotten any better”, says The Daily Mirror’s Royal Editor Russell Myers.

“If you remember the Prince of Wales had travelled with other members of his family … the Wessexes, and Prince Andrew, and pretty much, well he left Prince Harry behind,” Mr Myers instructed Sky News host Caroline Di Russo.

“And Meghan Markle was going to go with Harry and it was told to Harry by his father the King that ‘listen, don’t bring Meghan up here, the family obviously don’t want her here’.

“That had been how relations had been very, very strained and I don’t think we’ve seen much improvement over the last year.

“And Harry … quite a solitary figure on his own when he was at Windsor Castle paying tribute to his late grandmother and it’s a pretty sad state of affairs I think all around.”
