The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines on Monday positioned the Luzon Grid on “red alert” and instructs Manila Electric Company (Meralco) to implement rotational brownouts after 5 energy crops have been on a compelled outage amid the summer time warmth.
According to the NGCP, the purple alert standing for the Luzon grid was raised at 1 p.m. and can final till 4 p.m. and it is going to be adopted by a yellow alert standing from 4 p.m. to six p.m.
NGCP added that the purple alert standing will once more be reinstated from 6 p.m. to eight p.m.
