Provisions for the crew of BRP Sierra Madre within the Ayungin Shoal might have been affected after Chinese vessels educated water cannons on the Philippines’ resupply mission over the weekend.

President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. thus stated when requested about nation’s subsequent transfer after the Chinese Coast Guard used water cannons on Philippine vessels en path to the watchpost within the shoal.

“Buti na lang wala namang nasaktan, walang injury ngunit magkukulang ang resupply na dinala sa Sierra Madre ngayon kaya’t kailangan natin isipin what we will do next,” Marcos stated.

Marcos stated a command convention had been scheduled after the change of command rites of the Philippine Army as regards the “how we will respond.”

“But as you can imagine, ayokong pag-usapan ang operational aspects niyan. But, we continue to assert our sovereignty,” Marcos stated.
