Reported death toll due to effects of bad weather now 45 —NDRRMC

The variety of reported fatalities because of the results of dangerous climate since January 1 has reached 45, in response to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) on Saturday. 

Of this quantity, 20 have been confirmed whereas 25 fatalities are being validated, the NDRRMC stated in its scenario report for the mixed results of low stress areas, Northeast Monsoon, and shear line.

Those injured remained at 11, two of which have been confirmed whereas 9 are for validation.

The variety of lacking people, in the meantime, went right down to seven, with one confirmed and 6 for validation.

The NDRRMC stated 518,825 households or 2,138,567 people have been affected in 14 areas.

Of this quantity, 9,713 people have been displaced and evacuated from their houses.

Meanwhile, 14,405 have been preemptively evacuated in Mimaropa, Region 5, Region 7, Region 8, Region 9, Region 11, and Caraga.

The complete variety of broken homes went as much as 1,891, with 1,328 partially broken, and 563 completely broken. Estimated complete value of broken homes is P3,716,000.

Damage to infrastructure was estimated at P521,914,324.68, with 266 infrastructures.

Agricultural harm value was estimated to have reached P1,135,474,100.18. Of this, P62,044,897.50 is the estimated harm to livestock, poultry, and fisheries.

Meanwhile, 47,318.50 farmers and fisherfolk have been affected. The crop harm was reported in 56,110.115 hectares.

Eighty-six areas have been positioned beneath a state of calamity.
