Qantas flight turns back to Cairns after ‘controlled shutdown’

QF703 took off from Cairns International Airport at 2.19pm and was on account of land in Melbourne at 4.20pm.

Instead, the flight landed safely again in Cairns at 3.34pm.

A Qantas spokesperson stated the flight taxied to the gate safely and no emergency companies have been wanted.

The spokesperson stated engineers at the moment are investigating the incident.
