A particular investigation is underway after a person, believed to be 49, died in a crash after a police chase.

At 2.30pm yesterday, officers from Central West Police District tried to cease a Nissan Navara on the Newell Highway at Forbes, 300km north west of Sydney within the NSW Central West.

Officers stated it had didn’t cease.

Soon after it was concerned in a crash with the truck.

The Nissan driver died, and the truck driver wasn’t injured however was taken to hospital for testing.

A vital incident workforce comprised of officers from Chifley Police District will examine the circumstances surrounding the crash.

That investigation shall be topic to impartial overview.

Law Enforcement Conduct Commission confirmed it is investigating.
