Senate Opposition Leader Simon Birmingham says Prime Minister Anthony Albanese ought to be taking the Russian diplomat squatting in Canberra critically because it does relate to nationwide safety.
“This man is acting in breach of laws that were put through as emergency laws through the Australian parliament to ensure that our national security could be protected,” Mr Birmingham informed Sky News Australia.
“So, he shouldn’t just cast this aside, and he shouldn’t consider it to be a joke.
“He shouldn’t be playing it in a way that Australia is seen to be taken advantage of or played off in any way.
“This is a matter that should be taken seriously.”
