Police launch murder investigation after death of 17-month-old boy
Police have launched a homicide investigation following the demise of a 17-month-old boy in Adelaide.

Police stated the boy, named Ronan Davies, was unconscious and in a vital situation when he was taken to the Women’s and Children’s Hospital at about 6pm on June 7.

Ronan had suffered head and different critical inner accidents and died two days later.

Detective Inspector Mark McEachern stated Ronan’s accidents had been believed to have been brought on by an assault.

“In the two days before Ronan was taken to hospital he was being cared for by friends who are known to his parents, at an address in Ferguson Street, Glenelg North,” McEachern stated.

“When he was returned to his father’s house at Ottoway at 4pm on the Wednesday he was unable to be roused and an ambulance was called.”

The boy’s father informed 9News he and his fiancée had barely slept since they misplaced their son, who was their solely little one.

Police will concentrate on what occurred within the household mates’ house within the hours earlier than Ronan was returned.

“We have been provided with an explanation as to how Ronan’s injuries were caused, we’re not satisfied as to the truthfulness of that information and that is certainly subject to our murder investigation now,” McEachern stated.

No one has been in arrested in relation to the demise.

Police are asking if anybody heard or noticed something involving a younger little one in Ferguson Street on the afternoon of June 7.

Other residents of the road have been left surprised by the demise.

“It’s a small baby so it’s pretty upsetting to be honest,” resident Georgia Wooley stated.

“You feel sorry for the family and everyone involved,” Dylan Ashcroft stated.
