Records from the Philippine National Police (PNP) might be among the many bases for the evaluation of the resignations of senior law enforcement officials, PNP public data workplace chief Police Colonel Redrico Maranan mentioned Wednesday.
“Pinahanda na po kaagad yung mga dokumento na kakailanganin po sa pag-screen at yung kanilang mga proseso kung paano titignan at susuriin yung mga dokumento na hawak na po ng PNP,” Maranan mentioned at a televised public briefing.
[The documents needed for the screening have been already prepared.]
Aside from this, Maranan mentioned extra paperwork that might be offered by different businesses might be thought-about within the evaluation.
Maranan mentioned the five-man advisory group already finalized the rules and parameters for the evaluation on the resignations.
On January 4, Interior Secretary Benhur Abalos requested senior PNP officers to submit courtesy resignations as a part of the federal government’s efforts to rid the police power of officers concerned within the unlawful drug commerce.
Abalos mentioned this was “the only way to make a fresh start” within the PNP, as he expressed concern over the involvement of some excessive rating law enforcement officials within the unlawful drug commerce.
The advisory group consists of PNP chief Police General Rodolfo Azurin Jr., Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong, Office of the Presidential Adviser on Military Affairs’ Undersecretary Isagani Neres, former Defense chief Gilbert Teodoro Jr., and former Court of Appeals Associate Justice Melchor Quirino Sadang.
Earlier, Azurin mentioned they’re aiming to complete the evaluation in lower than three months.
The NAPOLCOM will once more assess the law enforcement officials whose resignations are accepted by the advisory group. Then it will likely be forwarded for President Ferdinand Marcos Jr’s approval. — RSJ, GMA Integrated News
