PM ‘misleading the public’ by ‘minimising’ what proposed Voice can do

The Prime Minister is making an attempt to reassure voters his Voice proposal is “modest and conservative” and the parliament may have “primacy” over the Voice – however that’s not what his consultants are saying, says Sky News host Peta Credlin.

“He’s misleading the public by minimising what his proposed Voice can do, all the while, placating Indigenous leaders that the Voice can, indeed, put Indigenous people at the very heart of all major decision-making,” Ms Credlin mentioned.

“He’s trying to guilt Australians into voting for something that he doesn’t want us to understand, because he fears, that if we do understand it, we’d never vote for it.

She said if the Voice gets up, Australians will be “saddled” with one thing they’re shortly coming to see will not be what they have been instructed it could be.

“But if the Voice goes down, many Indigenous people will be embittered and the cause of reconciliation will be set back, perhaps for decades.”
