Philippines posts 234 new COVID-19 cases; active tally lowest since April 29, 2023

The Department of Health (DOH) recorded 234 new COVID-19 instances on Friday, bringing the entire nationwide caseload to 4,171,063.

The variety of energetic instances decreased to five,278 from 5,431.  This is the bottom energetic tally since April 29, 2023. 

There have been 380 new recoveries and 7 new deaths, the DOH stated.

The National Capital Region logged probably the most variety of instances inside the previous two weeks with 714 instances, adopted by Central Luzon with 551, CALABARZON with 432, Ilocos with 299 and Western Visayas with 298.

A complete of 5,160 new COVID-19 samples have been examined on Thursday, with about 303 checks submitted from over 385 COVID testing labs within the nation.—Jiselle Anne Casucian/LDF, GMA Integrated News
