The nationwide COVID-19 positivity price dropped to five.7% on Saturday, in line with impartial monitoring group OCTA Research on Sunday.
Data shared by OCTA Research fellow Dr. Guido David confirmed that the Philippines’ positivity price — or the proportion of people that have been discovered constructive for COVID-19 among the many whole variety of people examined — went down from 5.9% on January 6, to 5.7% on January 7.
This was after the Department of Health (DOH) registered 752 new COVID-19 instances on Saturday, which introduced the energetic caseload to 12,518.
The National Capital Region (NCR) stays the area with essentially the most instances within the final 14 days with 2,359.
It was adopted by Calabarzon with 1,187; Central Luzon with 562; Western Visayas with 341; and Cagayan Valley with 325 instances.
With this development, OCTA is projecting 350 to 450 new COVID-19 infections to be recorded nationwide on Sunday. —Giselle Ombay/KG, GMA Integrated News
