A 20-year-old man from The Basin and a 25-year-old Ashwood man allegedly ran from the scene of the crash and have been arrested by police close by and charged with automobile theft and different offences.

Police allege the BMW is linked to the stolen station wagon.

While the pet pooch is again with the household, police say the automobile – 2017 C250 Mercedes Station wagon with roof racks and registration VBG 946 – is but to be situated. (Victoria Police)

Witnesses instructed 9News the lads have been trailing Buxton in a white BMW earlier than one man bought out and stole the car after the digital keys have been left within the centre console.
