Perth nightclub enforces controversial ban over red sneakers
A Perth nightclub has banned purple sneakers because the homeowners declare they’re the shoe of alternative for troublemakers.

Hillary’s Bar1 has enforced a blanket ban on purple footwear whether or not they be Air Maxes, TNs or Airforces because the footwear are allegedly a purple flag for unhealthy behaviour.

“It’s quite funny … they have red shoes on, certain bum bag and certain chain and they act up,” proprietor Malcolm Pages stated.

“It’s a little bit eshay-like. Like the local suburban hero kind of vibe.”

The new coverage comes after an increase in violent behaviour and the nightclub insists purple kicks are a magnet for the incidents.

Head2Sole proprietor Farshad Shirzadi stated Air Maxes and TNs have been sell-out manufacturers, notably in purple.

“They tend to sell out every single time. It’s always that particular age group that do buy that all-red shoe,” he stated.

Some nightlife revellers have dubbed the membership’s ban discriminatory.

“I’m always wearing the red shoes, you know, I have nearly four or five of them. I don’t think I’m a dangerous person, I’m not a troublemaker,” one native stated.

“I think it looks cool and it’s just one of my favourite colours. You shouldn’t judge people by wearing that,” one other native stated.

Despite the uproar in the neighborhood, hospitality venues can legally implement a gown code beneath the liquor act.

Bar1’s new rule will come into impact subsequent month.
