The Australian’s Chief Political Correspondent Geoff Chambers says individuals are typically “sick of politics”.
This comes as Newspoll exhibits Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Opposition Leader Peter Dutton recorded their lowest approval ranking because the election.
“We’re expecting the economy to slow down later this year, sticky inflation and those winter energy bills will bite, so as those pressures really bear down, I think later this year, you’ll see some more engagement from voters as we head towards the referendum,” Mr Chambers instructed Sky News host Sharri Markson.
