Penny Wong tells UK to confront its colonial past in a ‘woke performative statement’

Menzies Research Centre’s Nick Cater says Foreign Minister Penny Wong telling the UK to confront its colonial previous is a “woke performative statement”.

“It’s very disappointing, it’s not the way we do things in the English-speaking free world,” Mr Cater advised Sky News host James Morrow.

“We don’t build on past grievances, but unfortunately Labor has a history of this.”
