Sydney was delivered to life on Saturday evening for the forty fifth Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras because the Prime Minister and NSW Opposition Leader marched side-by-side down town’s iconic Oxford St.
Anthony Albanese is the primary sitting Prime Minister to participate within the parade.
“It’s unfortunate that I am the first, but this is a celebration of modern Australia,” he stated.
The parade marks the midway level of the two-week Sydney WorldPride pageant – which is estimated to inject $800 million into the New South Wales economic system.
