Ordinary people feeling anger towards Qantas for being a ‘virtue signaller’

Menzies Research Centre Executive Director Nick Cater says unusual Australians are feeling anger in the direction of Qantas for being a “virtue signaller”.

“To imagine how this would have played out if Qantas was not such an overtly heavy-handed player in the Yes campaign,” he advised Sky News host Peta Credlin.

Qantas has simply misplaced a High Court case, which decided the airline had illegally sacked round 1,700 of its staff throughout COVID.

“I think people still would have been angry at what’s been happening at Qantas; they would have been angry at the Qatar decision,” Mr Cater stated.

“I flew on Rex … to South Australia from Sydney a few weeks ago, and how delightful it was to land without getting a sermon.”
