Sexual harassment was outlined as an individual being subjected to behaviours that made them really feel uncomfortable and had been offensive attributable to their sexual nature – together with feedback about their physique or intercourse life and undesirable touching.

“Receiving inappropriate comments about their body or sex life was the most widely reported behaviour, experienced by 800,000 women,” stated ABS head of crime and justice statistics Will Milne.
“Half a million women received an indecent text, email, or post, while 400,000 were subjected to unwanted touching or grabbing.”
Younger girls beneath the age of 24 had been probably the most focused age group, with one in three reporting harassment in comparison with one in eight girls aged 35 to 44.
More girls had been harassed by somebody identified to them than by a stranger, with 15 per cent focused by an intimate associate and 27 per cent by a colleague or boss.
