The National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) stated Friday it has exceeded its 2022 assortment goal by 70.21%.
In a press release, the NTC stated it collected P9.50 billion in charges as of December 31, 2022.
This is an overshoot of P3.92 billion from the gathering aim of P5.58 billion set by the Development Budget Coordination Committee (DBCC), the company stated.
“NTC’s achievement was a culmination of its personnel’s concerted effort to strictly enforce stakeholders’ compliance in remitting spectrum users’ fees, supervision and regulation fees, and penalties,” NTC officer-in-charge Commissioner Ella Blanca Lopez stated.
The NTC is the federal government company that regulates cable and business tv operators, broadcast radio stations, telecommunications corporations, and business and transportable radio operators.
The assortment targets of the company are mandated within the Budget of Expenditures and Sources of Financing, a doc required by the Constitution and consolidated by the Department of Budget Management (DBM). —VBL, GMA Integrated News
