Northern Territory’s CLP President quits over party’s opposition to the Voice

Sky News can reveal the President of the Northern Territory’s Country Liberal Party has stop over the celebration’s resolution to oppose an Indigenous Voice to Parliament.

Lawson Broad instructed Sky News he had resigned not solely from his place as CLP President but additionally from the celebration altogether.

Mr Broad says his resolution to resign was attributable to the movement that was handed to oppose the Voice at a central council assembly final month whereas he was absent.

“My personal view is that these positions are offensive to a large number of Aboriginal people in the Northern Territory and the population more generally,” Mr Broad stated.
