The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) on Tuesday positioned the Luzon energy grid beneath yellow alert, following the pressured outage of 4 energy crops.
In an advisory, the NGCP stated the Luzon grid shall be on yellow alert from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 5 p.m. to six p.m.
A yellow alert signifies that the grid has skinny reserves primarily based on the distinction between provide and demand.
“Four (4) power plants are on forced outage, while three (3) others are running on derated capacities, for a total of 2,145MW unavailable to the grid,” the NGCP stated.
