The mother of a one-year-old baby affected by tongue-tie in Tondo, Manila is asking for assist.
On a “24 Oras” report Wednesday, Cristine Conejar stated she seen there was one thing fallacious together with her baby Prince Ethan the second she gave beginning to him.
“Yung pagkalabas niya po, napansin ko na po ‘yon tapos tinanong ko po agad yung doktor. Parang style ahas (yung dila). ‘Pag ilalabas niya po, hati yung dila niya,” she said.
Though Prince Ethan remains energetic, Cristine is still worried as he has a hard time eating.
“Masabaw yung pagkain niya. ‘Pag mga matitigas po, hindi po talaga siya kakain tapos pag sa dede, mahilig po siyang mangagat,” she said.
“Sana po matulungan niyo po kami nang hindi na po siya mahirapan, nang hindi na po niya ito madala hanggang paglaki niya,” she added.
ENT Specialist Dr. Gil Vicente from the St. Luke’s Medical Center stated tongue-tie or ankyloglossia is often as a consequence of genetics, and it does normally lead to issue in consuming.
“Hinihila kasi yung dila so since meron ditong frenulum, nagiging heart-shaped. Pwedeng nahihirapan mag-breastfeed. Parang ang bagal, tagal niyang mabusog kasi nahihirapan,” he stated.
