Water concessionaires Manila Water and Maynilad have requested for a rise of their water allocation from the Angat dam from 50 cubic meters per second (cms) to 52 cms.
The request was mentioned at a gathering attended by prime officers of the 2 water corporations and the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS) Wednesday.
MWSS Deputy Administrator Jose Dorado advised GMA Integrated News that the request could be instantly relayed to the National Water Resources Board (NWRB).
Dorado mentioned the aim of the rise in water allocation was to replenish the Ipo and La Mesa dams.
He mentioned it was additionally meant to refill Maynilad’s reservoirs in order that the water distribution within the west space may return to regular.
NWRB Executive Director, Dr. Sevillano David Jr., advised GMA Integrated News that the request must undergo the NWRB Board.
