Mark McGowan resigns: Australia responds

Australia has reacted to the shock resignation of West Australian Premier Mark McGowan, who introduced on Monday he would depart the position on the finish of the week.

McGowan cited exhaustion for his determination, which he stated he had been considering for “quite a while”, significantly off the again of the difficult “Covid years”.

Among his achievements have been “Metronet, one vote one value, TAFE investment and returning the WA Budget to surplus”, he added.

“He stood up to Clive Palmer and he stood up for WA time and time again. I am grateful for Mark’s support and the fun of campaigning alongside him.”
