Many people ‘relaxed’ after decade of falling interest rates

AMP Chief Economist Shane Oliver has acknowledged how many individuals “got relaxed” after a decade of falling rates of interest.

“I think it’s always very important to bear in mind there is a cycle there, things go up and things go down,” Mr Oliver informed Sky News Australia.

“Right now we’re seeing a lot of interest rate hikes so we’re getting close to the top.”
