The 63-year-old Riverview man died shortly after he was discovered by police at unit block on Mine Street at Redbank about 10.25pm.
Police say three folks, the 2 males and a girl, have been inside a unit when the altercation allegedly occurred.
The man was allegedly stabbed by 28-year-old, who was discovered on the unit and he was taken into custody, police say.
The man has been charged with one rely every of homicide, threatening violence and possess harmful medication.
He is due earlier than Ipswich Magistrates Court tomorrow.
