A person has been killed in a shark assault off a seashore in South Australia, police consider.

The 46-year-old man went lacking when he was browsing at Walkers Rock Beach on the Eyre Peninsula, west of Adelaide at 10:10am.

“A man is believed to have died following a shark attack at Walkers Rocks Beach this morning,” police stated on Saturday afternoon.

The man’s physique has not but been discovered, though police, SES officers and neighborhood members are nonetheless looking out the world. (Nine)

Police had been referred to as to Walkers Rocks Beach, seven kilometres north of Elliston, at about 10.10am after stories the person had been bitten by a shark.

No one else was injured, South Australian Police advised 9news.com.au.

Elliston is an remoted coastal city about 600km west of Adelaide with a inhabitants of lower than 400.
