Police and paramedics had been referred to as to the service station on Mullingar Way in Landsdale after 4pm yesterday after they obtained calls a couple of man who was unconscious.
Officers mentioned upon arrival they had been informed two males had been concerned in a bodily altercation exterior of the business, throughout which a 3rd man approached and allegedly struck one with a machete.
The man in his 20s died on the scene.
A 28-year-old man is helping police with their enquiries as investigations proceed.
