Major flood warnings have been issued for the Nicholson, Gregory and Leichhardt Rivers and the encircling areas.

Burketown is predicted to bear the brunt of the flood, with water ranges anticipated to exceed the March 2011 document of 6.87m on Friday.

Flooding at Doomadgee has already hit document ranges, peaking at 7.85m this morning.
