Mabinay in Negros Oriental is getting a 50-meter metal bridge from the GMA Kapuso Foundation.
As seen on a “24 Oras” report, residents of Barangay Abis have been having a tough time crossing a river for the reason that bridge that they had was broken by Typhoon Odette.
With the Philippine Army’s assist, the 50-meter metal hanging bridge will stand tall very quickly beneath the “Kapuso Tulay Para sa Kaunlaran” undertaking.
“Eelevate natin yung ating tulay ng 2.5 meters mula do’n sa pure line para ‘pag nagkabaha ulit tulad ng Odette, di siya aabutin ng tubig baha,” said Sr. Engr. Edgar Eniego.
“Itong tulay na ito sa Mabinay is part of our aid para sa mga nasalanta ng Typhoon Odette,” said Rikki Escudero-Catibog, GMA Kapuso Foundation EVP and COO.
