The Land Transportation Office (LTO) is planning to standardize the charges being charged by driving faculties, Unang Balita reported on Monday.

According to LTO chief Jose Arturo Tugade, they’ve already fashioned a committee to overview the company’s guidelines and laws concerning the accreditation of driving faculties.

One of the main focus of the committee is the supposedly excessive charges being charged by driving faculties, which is reportedly the topic of a number of complaints acquired by the LTO.

A complainant mentioned she needed to spend as much as P18,000 simply to safe a driver’s license.

A consultant from one driving college, in the meantime, mentioned the charges are used for gas, the upkeep and insurance coverage of autos, and the salaries of the driving instructors.

Tugade mentioned the LTO gives a free theoretical driving course nevertheless it has restricted slots.

The LTO fees P100 for pupil allow utility, P150 for pupil allow, and P100 for non-professional license utility, and P585 for driver’s license.
