Labor needs to explain whether energy urgency is ‘genuine’ or a ‘political stunt’

Manager of Opposition Business Paul Fletcher says Labor wants to clarify whether or not the urgency surrounding the power disaster is real or a political stunt.

“We don’t have an objection to targeting temporary measures to provide rebates but there’s no reason that needs to be done at the same time,” he informed Sky News host Chris Kenny.

“The timing that the Prime Minister has announced is that the rebates won’t be settled until March.

“Can they explain why there is such a dreadful process … affecting the interest of many businesses and investors as well as consumers”.
